Sales · Cold calling

Initial calls by phone – without a sales pitch.

Cold calling works when your list, your opening, and your goal are right. I build all three with you – and practise them until they hold up in everyday use.

Sales · Cold calling

Why cold calling usually doesn't work.

The list is bought

A thousand contacts, no relationship, no reason to call. If you ring people at random, you get random results.

The opening is a sales monologue

After twenty seconds the person on the other end knows it's not about them. That's when the conversation ends.

There is no goal

Without a clear goal for the conversation, it ends with "Send me something". That rarely turns into a customer.

Approach

Three parts that have to fit together.

I build the target list with you – businesses in your area that match what you offer – an opening line in your own voice, and a clear goal for the call: a booked appointment, not a quote over the phone.

Then we practise. Not in a seminar room, but on real cases: the five objections that always come up, with answers that fit your business – and a follow-up rhythm so a conversation doesn't just become a scrap of paper.

  • A target list drawn from your local area and your sector – not bought from an address broker
  • An opening line you can still say on the twentieth call
  • One goal per call: appointment, callback, or a clear no
  • Answers to the five most common objections, in your own words
  • Follow-up on a fixed schedule, not when you happen to remember
  • Analysis: calls, conversations, appointments – and where things drop off
AI potential

AI could already be doing this work – exactly where, we find out on the call.

On the phone, the first sentence decides everything. You can prepare it. You can analyse it afterwards. But you have to lead the conversation yourself.

How many conversations does it take you to book an appointment – and do you know that figure exactly?

What happens to the rejections: are they sitting somewhere, or does someone call them again?

How do you know today which opening works – and which one just wastes time?

Free AI potential analysis

No sales pitch. You get two or three places where the effort already pays off today – and an honest view of where it does not.

Result

What comes out of it.

More conversations, less wasted effort

Fewer calls that go nowhere. More conversations about actual business.

A single approach for the team

Anyone new gets a list, a script and practice – instead of listening in and hoping for the best.

Appointments that make it into the diary

The call ends with an appointment. Not a promise to be in touch.

Frequently asked questions

Answered briefly.

Do I have to make the calls myself?
At the start, yes – that's the only way to find out which objections actually come up. Later, part of the pre-qualification can be handed over to a voice assistant.
Is that still allowed?
Business calls are permitted where there is a genuine connection to your services. Private numbers and marketing opt-outs remain off limits.
How many calls does it take to book one appointment?
That depends on your sector and list. After two weeks you'll have your real number instead of a guess – and you can plan.
Does this work in the trades?
Yes, often better than office-based sales: trade businesses know the phone call, it's about appointments and feasibility, not presentations.
What if my team doesn't want to make calls?
Then we start with you. A manager who makes the calls themselves takes away the team's excuses.

I know both sides: the workshop floor and the office. I understand how a ten-person business works and how larger companies set up their processes. That's exactly what I draw on when bringing AI into your day-to-day.

What sets me apart from traditional IT consultants: I start with the processes not the tool. And I stay until it works.

The difference: Most AI projects fail not because of the technology, but because of the order things are done in. We work out which process brings in the money first – then we automate exactly that.
